March on the Isle of Skye

3 March 2014 . . . . Went for a walk up the Kylerhea road and recorded 27 plant species. Sadly none of them were in flower. Did find a couple of things to photograph, however. In the afternoon a quick visit to the beach produced a nice scallop shell.

23 March 2014 . . . . Heard my first Skylark of the year today, on the way to photograph this fungus (found when out walking the dog recently).

24 March 2014 . . . . Sunny but still cold. Checked up on the Purple Saxifrage at the head of Loch Slapin and it was in flower but looking rather bedraggled after all the recent rain. Only other flowers seen today were Primrose, Lesser Celandine and Gorse.
