March on the Isle of Skye

28 March 2017 . . . . Took the U3A Nature Group to Rubha Ardnish, repeating the expedition I did last September with James Merryweather. We didn't see quite as many sea creatures this time, but did manage to find the Snakelocks Sea Anemone that was a highlight of the previous visit.

We had a good day for birds too. My first Wheatear of the year, a possible Whimbrel (very early if it was) and what I thought at the time was a female Reed Bunting but turned out to be a Lapland Bunting.
