October on the Isle of Skye

4 October 2013 . . . . A fungus foray, but not many new ones around - surprising given the recent rain. Did find two nice ones though:

11 October 2013 . . . . My first visit of the year to Dalavil and as usual it didn't disappoint. Fungi were my prime target but there were plenty of dragonflies enjoying the sun. The green version of Leotia lubrica is apparently quite unusual.

19 October 2013 . . . . Visited another local plantation and interestingly found a quite different variety of fungi.

There were lots of these. Not sure of the ID but it might be
Russula ochroleuca (Ochre Brittlegill)

There was also a lot of this - Ramaria abietina (a Coral fungus)
